Clar war — a series by Ka Hmnd

A Clar war Story
When an incompetent pilot shoots me down I am forced to face the enemy on foot. After a long walk out carrying my gunner I have to find a way to get or... make another Shark. Only it is going to be faster, stronger and have a hell of a bite.

A Clar war Story
I thought being in a plane would mean no walking... when my bomber exploded I was ejected. Of course I was all the way on the other side of the enemy's country. Now I had to turn my one way trip into a long walk out. A mistake showing gold coins to get food earns me a wife and someone else to care for on the way back.

A Clar war Story
Even before I was old enough I wanted to fight for my country. When I was, I joined those I felt comfortable with, jungle scouts. I had a talent for moving unseen and they were the best place for me. Our mission went from finding secret camps for smuggling weapons and equipment to plans for a major attack.

A Clar war Story
There are many types of airships but a Dragon is one of the deadliest. I became a pilot for one and was sent to war. There is nothing like the feel of speeding just above the trees or making a strike. A side mission on the way back to base earns me a surprising gift. Of course the first taste of combat for my navigator was all he could take. Now it was time we took the fight to the enemy.

A Clar war Story
When I joined the navy I was chosen for small craft warfare. In my case it was coastal patrols on boats. When I added my present to the barrel of my auto cannon it turned into something even more deadly. Of course there are other dangers than boats or planes firing at us. I learned that lesson on our first patrol when the enemy blows up a trawler in our face.

A Clar war Story
I was small and never thought it would make me special. Of course the job they wanted me for was extremely dangerous. There is nothing like crawling into a hole and never knowing if an enemy soldier would be waiting or some trap. There were benefits too, like taking things we found or finding enemy intel that could stop an attack or turn the tide of the war.

A Clar war Story
I walked and hunted in the forests at home and now the forests here seemed familiar. Only instead of hunting animals it was enemy soldiers who were hunting us. A chance encounter to capture a mage turns things around. For him the war was over and I told him so and treated him fair. What I got in return was a reward for capturing him and when he agreed to talk I ended up with two girls. Now we are going back to that area to hunt larger game and I hope they are not as ready as we are.

A Clar war Story
I was to young to join a combat unit but Han was more than willing to accept me. I was assigned to the security force. I was basically a military police officer. When I was assigned the river and docks to look for smugglers I never expected to be in a fight for my life. After taking and seizing a boat for smuggling I thought things would settle down but when our enemies are involved that is never a sure thing.

A Clar war Story
A small unit specializing in patrols and raids hits an enemy base behind our lines. From a wounded enemy officer we received information on the location of a prison. Now we were going far behind the enemy lines to break our people out. We had no real idea of the numbers until it was done and then it was time to find a way back for everyone.

A Clar war Story
I never thought how I grew up would give me an edge in the war. From being a backwoods country boy to a long range scout. From silent unseen stalking the enemy to coming face to face with the clar king's harem. Not only were they forced into the marriage but they were neglected. When I see a captured general my mission becomes secondary and I have no intention of leaving all the women.

A Clar war Story
A teenager seeking revenge finds the only way north and into the combat zone was with a contractor. It is not long before he gets what he is seeking and finds out there are other sides to the war. From enemy soldiers not just attacking the contractors but one of the villages of their own people to enemy planes trying to destroy what they are building.

A Clar war Story
Close to the end of a second tour of combat in Clar the war had pushed them almost to their northern border. The fighting was more fierce but now even those Clar in the south were joining the fight. A simple night patrol and ambush turns into something else when a young Clar general is captured. First he was not armed and had come out looking for us to surrender. Second was he gave up enough intel for us to strike and break the enemy's lines.

A Clar war Story
I was wounded and stuck in the rear when Rus came off the fence and attacked. I was angry and resented the injury. A walk to an area full of destroyed armor and equipment leads to a chance to strike back. With the help of several Clar we built a new type of armored vehicle. The front is bulging and the enemy pushing harder. Now it was time for me to get a little payback and the Rus were going to be on the receiving end.

A Clar war Story
My father worked with mages and I had been around them all my life. I had ideas and questions but I also wanted to serve in the air service. I did have dreams of being a pilot but they were only dreams. At least until I showed my adopted uncle my ideas and then my dreams became real. Rus had been pushing back and we were holding them but my ideas were about to change the war and take it to them.

A Clar war Story
A member of a special operation team is sent into Nees. My mission was to find and kill a large group of civilian mages. Only what I found was mages being held prisoner and forced to work like slaves. When I saw that my mission changed and I made contact. They wanted to escape so I would have to remove the guards, find transportation and lead them home through hostile forests and enemy soldiers.

A Clar war Story
A submitted idea turns into a secret project that will change the war and hopefully end it. More... it will change how mages move things in the air. When I landed on the carrier Freedom I knew something new was coming.
