Writing events are events organized by an author (or more), they can be writing festivals, writing challenges, etc...
This writing event organizer allows an author to create an event on the site that invited authors submit their entries into and the stories would be released on the site in one big event at a preset date selected by the organizer.
The organizer of the event is the one that recruits the participants, adds their pen names to the event, allowing them to enter it, and checks their submission for compliance.
Writing events are listed in the 'Collections' page under the very imaginative title 'Writing Events'.
When an event is released, the stories show up on the site, at the same time and are listed on the site's home page and in the new stories page.
Once the event is open for submissions, at a date selected by the organizer, an event-specific button will appear in the Submission System. This button will only be visible to authors whose pen names are added by the organizer to the event.
An event's organizer sets the rules. There are no limits built into the system. An author can submit an unlimited number of stories into an event. Any size story and any type, as long as it's compliant with the rules set by the organizer. It's up to the organizer to make sure the stories are compliant.
