'Saving Amanda' is about a young woman running away from events in her life, of which she's unable to cope with. In her confused state of mind, she makes a series of erratic decisions which almost gets her killed. At the last possible moment of her life, she is rescued by a reclusive, retired military medic. He too had run away - from society - back home to the mountain where he was raised.
