Despite the title, this isn't a Halloween story. It's a romantic story about a young woman whose life is in a rut, and sees herself on a fast-track to spinsterhood; and a mysterious older man ("Ghost") who's apparently floating through life, disconnected from the world. She decides to change her life, and that he's going to help her do that.
It's a well-written story. The characters are well-drawn and believable (except one antagonist who's a caricature). The story is quite engaging, with a good plot and good development; there's conflict, and issues to be overcome. It's quite believable.
Technically it's good, but not great--it could use a good proofreading/edit, as there are a number of errors (such as calling one character by two different names in the same sentence!).
All in all qhml1 draws you into his world, and after I'm done reading it, I find that I'd like to see more.
I recommend it.
