Reviewed:
Thank you Reluctant Sir, I had a wonderful day reading this story, tempered by my innate grouchiness.
The bad:
Typos, typos, typos, and they got worse in the last few chapters.
Bemused is not a synonym of amused. However, since it is now seemingly an official SOL policy that bemused must be over used I am amused, if not bewildered. (I am also bewitched and bothered; I know there is a song in here somewhere.)
Gun choice:
He has one arm, a semi-automatic, even with your explanation of how he could rack it, he could not do it fast enough, even if it is a Glock 30. A hammerless revolver with 38 Special hollow points would be much easier to use...like the song says, Sticks and Stones can break my bones, but hollow points expand on impact.
The good: Characters are interesting, the story is all too realistic in some respects and that makes it a better story. The babes, like all babes on SOL are ...babes.
The excellent:
About 140,000 words dropped on us innocents at SOL all at once.
My judgment:
One of the best introductions to a long a novel on SOL. And if it is going to be a stand alone story then it is a fun read with interesting and diverse sex which is not overdone and plenty of plot and interesting women.
