Reviewed:
This author seems under-reviewed to me. Two of his 43 stories have been reviewed, mostly favorably, but I didn't remember seeing either of the reviews until I started looking for which series/universe needed my bringing your attention to the most.
To cut to the chase, I decided to highlight the Amulets of Power universe and in particular the fifth story which is just starting. Catch a ride on it, based on the author's past history there will be two chapters posted every week, at least. They come to a reasonable resolution fairly quickly, this isn't one of the more than a hundred chapter super epics. It is an alternate history world, I envy you the opportunity to start at the beginning and work your way through the superior stories that await you.
You probably notice I am not telling you about the main characters or their adventures. As the plot is relatively complex and there is lots of action there would not be enough space. What I will say is that if you don't like this story, there probably isn't much on SOL you like.
In conclusion in my opinion the plot is a 9, more than enough for the story but I have seen more complex plots. The technical quality is also a 9. Its good but nobody is perfect. On another story the reviewer was unhappy about homonyms. I haven't seen any I remember in this story, or in the series/universe. Appeal to reviewer is a nine, as well. A nine is an A plus. I only give one ten a month and I already used my ten for May. I try to recommend stories I like that I suspect others will too. Not every story is a ten. An average story is a six. I suspect the management adjusts scores so that with a standard deviation on one, about two thirds of all stories score between 5 and 7. And one sixth of all stories fall below 5 and one sixth fall above 7. Most of this author's stories score well over 7 and most of this series/universe fall over 8. Its good stuff. Try it.
