I keep saying that I'm a sucker for a really good love story!
And this is a real humdinger. like most of Tallorder64's stories sex is not at the forefront of the drama, but the plot is.We see Ed as a slightly bitter man whose marriage went up in smoke and with it his life. She is a divorcee from a family background of greed and living beyond their means; a husband from a well-to-do family whose marriage is destroyed by the news that she cannot have children (we find out how wrong he is!)
At her wits end she realizes that her sheltered life does not help her in her impoverished state and in desperation she accepts the generous help of a true benefactor, Ed.
Slowly and inevitably they are drawn together and soon find happiness, and the fulfillment of their marriage in the births of the children they thought she could never have.
Don't go looking for a high stroke number, I do not think the story was intended that way. Just sit back, read and enjoy. Oh, this could be a ten kleenex story!
