In Book 1, Thomas Bergmann becomes infatuated with a young woman who he sees in a porn video on the net. He flies to Brazil to find her. His plans to hire her for companionship evaporate when he meets her in person, and instead he helps her to a new start. In Book 2, Stephanie, Thomas' daughter must come to grips with a beautiful, young stepmother, and overcome her own prejudices and traumata. In Book 3, the heroine, Gisele, picks up the tale, and we learn about the ghosts of her own past.
