The life of Russ and some of the stuff he had to deal with. This story could fall into a half dozen different catagories. I don't want to give to much away.
This is a story about a man who gave everything and had everything taken from him. It's a bit darker than my usual stuff. I put it in the romance category because of the ending. Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens so much to our soldiers, marines, sailors, and airmen when they're deployed. As I said in my blog post, this is partially based on reality.

It was a Saturday morning and it was raining. I usually got up and played golf with friends on Saturdays, weather permitting. This Saturday the weather was defiantly not permitting. A quick check of the Weather Channel told me it was going to rain hard all day.
