Life was tough in the scratch-earth mountain valleys of the Colorado Rockies in the years following the Civil War. Ernst wants to be a painter, though, and meets one younger and more desirable than the baron or the choir master.

The Robertson’s have to move from Maryland to California, they are driving across the country in a caravan consisting of a twenty six foot U-Haul truck, an extended cab Chevy pickup and a new Suburban. They find out some very interesting things about them selves and find out they have a stowaway! But she fits right in and joins in the family fun. But her stepdad wants her and her money back at any cost, two million dollars is just too much to lose.

A man loves and nearly loses forever the woman that makes his life complete, but in the struggle to regain her will everything else be lost in the process? Started over a year ago, this was intended to be one of the 'first' Lovett County stories - read my Blog for more details. It is primarily a story of love and unusual relationships, and there is a good deal of sex, but probably no 'scary codes'. It starts fairly slow and the first two chapters are a bit sad.
