One day I discovered an angel. He was 7 years old, and his (I thought) father had tried to use him as a punching bag. His mother was killed trying to protect him. His father, the puncher is in the hospital after I hit him with a shovel handle on the side of his head. I was too late to save the mother, but I did save Jonny.

When my older sister Becci moved up to junior high school, she quickly developed some issues that kinda prevented her behaving towards me like a decent human being. One day when I was fourteen she went way too far and framed me for stealing beer. Our father massively over-reacted. I took the nuclear option. No winners here; we all lost out.

Fifteen and alone for the first time in her life, Misty looks to her trusted neighbor for solace. He succumbs to her relentless efforts and upholds a promise, culminating in lessons too big for her to neglect.

This is something new for me (and this site, I think). I first wrote this as a 'story' and didn't like it. I rewrote it as a short 3 act play, using more dialogue to define the characters. I'll be back to my usual dribble next time.
