Thanksgiving is a time for families to get together, but it can also be a time of arguments and tension. Trapped in a sham marriage, Jake had decided that he had nothing to be thankful about, and it was time for him to leave.
A The Engineer Story George narrates a little more and then Susan decides she doesn't want to eat her supper off Frankie. Horace has a potentially killer new contraption, there is a nearly new pony, a new track and new drivers. A new girl appears, ponies find relief. A pony is bred, but Susan objects to a second and puts her skills to good use, but nevertheless there is one. And then it largely goes tits up.
This is something new for me (and this site, I think). I first wrote this as a 'story' and didn't like it. I rewrote it as a short 3 act play, using more dialogue to define the characters. I'll be back to my usual dribble next time.

Two hyper-competitive couples let their battles for one-upsmanship nearly destroy their lives and those of their closest friends around them. Can they ever declare a truce or will there be 'Pistols for Two' with tragic results? There is not much sex and the story codes are largely incidental. An odd sort of drama/romance with a touch of humor.
