Reeling in the wake of a tragic death and an infinitely complicated visitor from the past, Rose calls on a friend to help lift (and drink) her spirits. But instead of comfort, she's faced with one shocking revelation after another.
Bobby Martin raised a little hell in high school, like taking an upskirt picture of the principal's wife, under the bleachers during a game. And then selling them. Naturally, the principal hated him with a passion. But the principal was breaking some rules, too, and when his wife found out about it she wanted revenge. Who better to get it with than her husband's arch nemesis? She didn't intend to fall in love with that nemesis. But she did.
The lives and adventures of Dave, Alice, Julie, Cricket, and others in the Circle continue as some other and sometimes-younger members join. New members come from many quarters including nearby neighbors, a trip to Las Vegas and a campus fraternity - but not without surprises and occasional angst. They also found love on the Santa Fe trail. Of course, there were a few lingering wrongs to right and some scores to settle. But in the end, "Until death do us part," really meant something.
