While the typical technical quality of Lazlo's work was missing from this story, it was still above average. However, where the author's real mastery shines through is in the plot and characterization, as he's churned out yet another very entertaining addition to his Damsels in Distress library which is populated not only with a few pre-existing characters but also by a cast of new and interesting individuals. Hopefully there will be sequels where those characters will get a chance to be featured.
Those looking for pure stroke will be disappointed, but anyone who just wants to read a character-driven romantic adventure with a little eroticism and a bit of violence will definitely enjoy this story.
