About a year ago, I read a story by Girl Lover entitled Caring for Molly. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to write my own take on it. I’ve tried in vain to contact him for permission, but to no avail.
My story is different in many ways, the ages of the characters are sixteen and eighteen, without a preteen character. My characters are not white. One is Korean and the other is mixed race Black/Caucasian.
Revealing much more would tell too much of the story, so I will let you be the judge. If you’re out there Girl Lover, I hope you like what I’ve done with your story idea of a high school girl watching a disabled girl.
