A sudden attack from what we thought was rogue fleets turns into something else. With the first strikes on the planet they kill the duke and most of his family as well as the military command. As the duke's son it is up to me to rally the barons and fight back. Only it is not a rogue system that is responsible, it is the sidhe or those called the Dark.

We were new constables sent to the far heliopause station. Those we replaced were suspected of being crooked. My partner looked younger than me and was very pretty. She was also a former joy girl and a very good constable. From weapon and drug smugglers to slavers it was our job to find and bring them to justice.

A loner who hunts pests in ancient space fortresses has two girls join him. While clearing a fortress that has been neglected he must also teach them. Of course he can not fight the attraction. Then a large fleet of spider like aliens arrives and they must find a way to bring the fortress alive.

In order to leave the planet and start a new life a freelance cop defies the criminal bosses to bring them in.

For a knight and soldier, death comes with the icy touch of a spell. Only that death does not last as magic brings him back many centuries later. He finds the kingdom once more facing the same enemy and has need of his knowledge and skill. Now he must journey north and find the remaining relics he had searched for in his time.

Mages were the slave masters and lords. They were not fair or nice and made a serous mistake. They had sent sickness into the country and many people died. Now the son of a former soldier has suffered enough. The final straw was spies in a group of discontent surfs. Once started down the path there is nothing, not even magic that will stop him.

Edited by Bird Dog The sudden invasion by the Dark sent the whole population scrambling. Our colony was a few hundred years old with several abandoned military bases. The one I went to was hidden inside a mountain. That was where I found a way to fight back and try to stop the Dark.
