After the funeral and selling their home in Washington state he decides to move back to his place of birth. On his drive home he meets another woman, has many adventures and falls in love. Later they marry.

A young scientist meets the boss's daughter at his department's Christmas shindig. Sparks fly, sperm flows and suddenly a shot gun wedding is looming. Problem: she is pregnant from another man. Or so she thinks. It's not really a Christmassy sort of story but it may fit the spirit.
