Another year in school for Sam before he can return to The Windy Pines for the summer. Sam is instore for some changes. He is growing up, though not always wiser. With age comes responsibility. He still has a lot to learn, and he gets a crash course on what it takes to grow up.
Tired of being a 98-pound weakling, Paul vows to get big and strong so guys will stop picking on him and girls will finally notice him; but when Paul’s gymnastics world begins to fall apart, his girlfriend leaves him, his new partner becomes abusive, and his dream of becoming an Olympic gymnast begins to fade, he must dig deep inside to discover the true meaning of strength and find a purpose for his life.
Think of a 3-year-old baby girl who survives the freezing cold when her white parents do not. Think of a boy whose parents were killed, who runs away, thinking the killers will soon be hunting him. They meet when the girl is ten, and he is 15, him thinking she is Indian like the squaw who raised her. It's a time of tepees, ranches, outlaws, farmers and railroads, Indian wars and reservations. Also, think of a time of bank robbers, cheap land, new machines, small towns, and too few women.

I couldn't help but wonder about some of the foreign exchange students I knew as I grew up. The girls, I mean. I was busy trying to get into their American friends' panties. I always wondered who was trying to get into theirs. So I wrote a little fantasy about that. It's probably a bit over the top. But after all, it was MY fantasy.
