My first effort at writing more than 500 words, first published in 2003. It has been extensively edited and rewritten, courtesy of my editor, Keith S. Follow along as Cassie comes of age and learns about love. Oh, and try not to laugh too hard; this was my first try.
An Uncle Bob Story Serendipity - A happy accident, or an unplanned incident which leads to something enjoyable. I'd heard the word before, but never paid much attention to it, probably because nothing serendipitous had ever happened to me. At least nothing I could remember. But an unplanned incident involving my niece met that definition - and then some. The simple, completely accidental view of something I was never intended to see, shook both our worlds. And what happened after that was no accident.
A Dusty Story Part of the Keltria universe
Dusty is a cop's daughter who habitually finds trouble without even looking for it. The Story is set around 2094 when major changes occur in the young police woman's life. She is based in Port Douglas, QLD, where her dad is the Chief Superintendent of the region. Her dad always said Dusty's middle name was 'Trouble', and trouble is what she finds. Author's Note: Due to the number of changes in this book and the new second book, I'm reposting the Dusty Series but haven't deleted the old books.
I watched the twins next door grow up and was good friends with their mom, none of whom ever expressed any interest in ice fishing, which was my passion. Then one day the Tomboy twin said she wanted to go. She took her hockey skates with her and, after she fell through thin ice, I had to warm her up. It turned out she liked the warming up part better than the fishing part. And so did the girly twin, after she heard about it. If only we could have kept it secret from their mother.
