Reviewed:
I can't say that I've read many of Smilodon's stories, but I think that's about to change. This is a straightforward romance, telling of a young man who's in a boys' boarding school in the UK, and who happens to meet a young woman who's in a girl's boarding school in the same town.
It's not an epic, so there's not a lot of room for great challenges to be overcome. Still, there are some, and it's not easy for the two of them to pursue a relationship, but they do.
The characters and story are believable; you don't have to suspend your sense of disbelief for this. The plot holds together well. You can certainly empathize with the protagonist (well, I could, anyway).
My usual disclaimer about guns/secret agents etc. goes here: there ain't none in this story.
Technically, this could use a good edit. There are typos and punctuation errors throughout, so my technical score reflects that.
Despite the technical issues, I enjoyed the story, and have added some of the author's other stories to my reading queue. I recommend it.
