Four stories set in the Dark Ages. Each is complete on its own but all are linked. Based on actual historical events, The Anglo-Saxon Chronicles are how I would like it to have been!
The first and second parts are basically adventure stories, part 3 is a 'tale with a moral' and part 4 a bit of a 'whodunnit'.
This story was written at the request of my editor, Denny Wheeler. Like me, Denny is a fan of the brilliant 'Brother Cadfael' novels of the late Ellis Peters. He asked me to write a story about Cadfael's adventures before he became a monk. This is the result.
It is primarily a mystery story with very little sex. If you like that sort of thing - read on!
If you're looking for lots of hot action and dirty words - don't bother!!!
The strange tale of Harry Danvers-Reid, one-time Captain of the Bengal Lancers who became the ruler of an ancient Indian country. Among Harry's problems is how to deal with the Harem he inherited. Not the usual smilodon story!
This is a story of love, flying and war. Above all, it is a story about people with all the strengths and weaknesses that implies. It takes place between September 1915 and September 1940. It is also the story of the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Air Force in microcosm.
Mark is desperate to lose his virginity. Everything seems to conspire against him - even the weather! Until Sarah takes a hand. A wry look at the 'age of mirrors of muddle'.
A Love story set against the background of the Second World War.
The story starts in 1936 with Jack and Beth meeting in Jack's father's boat yard. They are from very different backgrounds but even so, over the next few years, friendship turns to romance. Then the war intervenes...
Joint Winner in the 'Short Story of the year' category, Golden Clitorides, 2003 with Nick Scipio's 'Let it Snow.'
