A Clar war Story (5)
When I joined the navy I was chosen for small craft warfare. In my case it was coastal patrols on boats. When I added my present to the barrel of my auto cannon it turned into something even more deadly. Of course there are other dangers than boats or planes firing at us. I learned that lesson on our first patrol when the enemy blows up a trawler in our face.

With the death of his parents he was sent to a military school. His uncle had managed to take control of his parents estate and things were about to get worse. First there was the lone assassin and then a sparing bot that was hacked. While his lawyer tries to fight in court things are about to get real nasty.

Hell was a mage created no man land of creatures and death. Only half the men that went to war ever returned because we were not just fighting each other. Sometimes even when we were fighting each other something else would decide to join in.

Finding out what had happened to my father was why I broke in and stole a copy of Stonewall intel files. What I found was more anger until I discovered away to get revenge. Of course Stonewall security was after me so it was not going to be easy.

A story in the Kaire Universe
A Kaire trying to find his own way leaves the empire. The new system was far from home but had people that looked like his. Some of their customs were... violent which led to his claiming of a daughter and acceptance of his mate. With three mates to start his new clan he and the two empires learn a shocking secret.

With the death of the king one of his bastards attempts to take the thrown. When he fails it divides the dukes and brings civil war. My chance comes when I join the king's army and the scouts. A mission to the enemy camp provides more than a chance to observe. Even after the death of the bastard the dukes would continue to fight but the scouts are sent back. That gives me another chance to shorten or end the war.

A very short time as a soldier left me seriously wounded. The wounds healed but the mind doctors knew the post combat trauma would last a life time, I was retired. I picked Addison to go to since they had just gone through a plague. When I arrived it was to meet a young woman that owned a farm. The king's knights were mostly bastards and their sons were ripped away from home and family at a early age. They were trained in a rough and brutal way to be knights like their fathers. When we marched to war and I left the cage that held me, I was not going to follow tamely. I was free and determined to go my own way. My decision to fight with a company of regulars might have offended everyone but I had made the choice. Besides, I knew the dance of war and these men would follow me.
