Science Fiction Stories

Steampunk is a stand alone coming-of-age story. Bill Morgan, Tom’s son, from the first Meeting An Alien story is almost grown up. Bill, at loose ends, arrives on Earth-19 where many dangers, challenges and needy damsels await him. It is a separate story with all new characters and a places; i.e. it is a vastly different world with a an Old-West feel. Think mid-19th century; Steam power, percussion cap weapons and duals to the death.

This is a Star Trek short I wrote about ten years ago, later expanded by me and edited by Steven. Though I won’t continue it, it was fun to revisit. The story follows James, washed out from Starfleet and now a drifting smuggler. In a dingy dive one day, he spots a group of fresh Academy grads. He doesn’t feel happy or sad, just, numb.

The United States settled the Project 1950s as a lifeboat in case of a nuclear war. The founders picked an alternate time line where humanity died out with the Mt. Toba eruption of 75,000 BC. It is currently some 18,000 BCE, and the height of one of the periodic ice ages. Wendy van Veldt is an engineer-in-training. Her plans for the next few years are to start her career, and live happily ever after with her husband and her wife. Things don't quite work out that way.

Justin is a lucky guy. He has money, he has his sister and he doesn't have a worry in life. But his sister isn't content with their relationship, she has ideas to improve it.

A story in the Disunited Front Universe

Science has brought mankind to new heights. Science is the key to unlocking the mysteries of the universe. Sometimes unlocking those mysteries are not always a good thing.
