The future is not good for humans. A fungal/plant hybrid has taken over, covering much of the planet, choking life from it. What humans remain are used in its reproduction or are fighting against it. The question is: who will win the war?
This was my first attempt at exploring the subject I used for my story, "One Quantum Leap for Mankind". I like the other story better, but this version was fun to write. It starts off the same way, but takes a very different turn.
Colony world of Crocodylia
Crocodylia is a harsh world and scientist stand little chance of surviving if someone does not watch them. To make it worse this group wanted to study the ocean creatures which are even larger and deadly. Most of my job is shadowing them and watching everything else. There is also having to feed them and reminding them of danger.
Emily goes green and likes it. Emily house-sits for her botanist neighbor and gets seduced by an enormous flowering plant in the professor's greenhouse.
Getting ahead sometimes mean getting down... Getting ahead as an intern is no easy thing, and Livi is surprised by an unusual proposition to advance her career. All she had to do was agree to let him transform her into and live with him for a time. He didn't know that she had always fantasized about being transformed, and just couldn't resist the temptation. Now she gets to find out how hot a few adjustments can be.
Jeff and Suzy were unusual children. Their implants had failed, so they no longer had suppressed emotions or access to the entire store of human knowledge in their heads. A mysterious blue cartoon creature introduces them to the long forgotten Internet. They soon discovered pages and pages of people indulging in something called ‘fucking’. What would the two kids make of it?

Very little violence, sex is sparce. There's just so much a guy can get into out in the deep woods of East Texas. There's no place like home.
