My origin was a bad start. You can't imagine a more spoiled rotten mean little kid than I was. My story has a villain, but no heroes. I am the villain. No matter how I spin it or excuse myself, I'll never come out remotely heroic. I'm the predator, and the characters portray my victims. You won't learn much about them. Their character development is skimpy and stereotyped. Though they were my half-siblings I never knew them well so I can't tell what I don't know.

Steve finished giving out treats, brought in his jack-o-lantern and turned off the porch light. Tired, he went to bed early. His kids were grown and gone, and his divorce was final this week.
