A low life point of view

A young man in his tweens is working his way up to pilot of a Starship by flying a space copter taxi between ground and orbiting spacecraft. His terror of being helpless, makes him a control freak and determined independent from higher authority also makes him reluctant to accept responsibility for others and possible public censure. A misconstrued non-verbal solicitation of gifts, setting up a gift table, results in little gifts he can never forget.

So, what happened to hated Bjarni Herjólfsson? Dropped below the horizon of history after seeing Canada and refusing to land. His ship was taken from him and given to Leif Erikson to become the discoverer of North America. This is a speculative fictional account of Bjarni Herjólfsson's history after his shaming.

Philosopher Phil's magnanimous gifts to the world,. immortality and freedom from disease and addictions. It only took one week from initial introduction of these Gifts, for the world to cave and crumble. It's legs kicked out from under it. Turns out, death is necessary to life! Tis is my lowest scoring worst story.
