Imagine, not a Star Trek Borg society, but immortal forever young and healthy humans, thanks to their resident nano computer doctor chips making rounds in their veins!

Now imagine, the hidden, uninitiated, rarely unlocked capabilities of human brains once they’re triggered, booted up and brought “on line” by nano doctor/surgeons. This future may not be so far away in the future! Extrapolating the historical rapidity of the miniaturization of electronics, the chip size reduction annually, we could have perhaps, a decade of normalcy at most, before SHTF.

What would fully empowered, totally efficient, completely utilized human consciousness be capable of? Psychic abilities? Pah! Games for future children to play with.

The most powerful aspect of past and present human minds, is the ability to dream of the till now impossible and create it as real. Suppose nano enhanced humans could make the wildest of dreams come true? But only in their dreams! Real virtual reality! Self induced comas might be a preferred life style, everyone living in a universe of their own design. The life support machine is already nano internalized. Only needs an intravenous supply of water and nutrients and a self cleaning vat to float in. Possibilities? Dream on!
