Amara, 19, arrives at St. Catherine's Nursing Institute with a Bible and a Ghana-must-go. She wants to be a good altar girl. Chi-Chi, 21, final year Hostel Rep, has other plans. She stares too long. Stands too close. Knows exactly when Amara's breath catches. In a hostel where Warden Agnes watches everything and NEPA takes light every night, Amara is trying not to sin. But some sins feel like prayer.

I am what many people would call a “creepy guy”. I know this, because they’ve said it to my face. Many times. All through high school. Then college. Then, in many job interviews.
