John Patel's wife is at the bottom of barrel. Alcohol, drugs, and prostitution are consuming her. He doesn't want to leave. She's his high school sweetheart and he loves her as much now as he did then. How does he deal with it and take care of their six-year-old daughter? This is his story. Set in the Learning Together Universe, it takes place ten years prior to the rest of the series. Being it's in the Learning Together Universe there is spanking, of course. Caution: dark subject matter.

When Wendy's older brother Craig mocks her claim that she is now a witch, she says she'll teach him a lesson by casting a spell on him. Craig is left shaken by what happens next. Then her father Andrew confronts her about making her brother uncomfortable with her claims of witchcraft. Wendy says she'll have to teach her father a lesson by casting a spell on him too, and he is also left shaken. If they confront Wendy together, surely they'll be able to get her to admit that she's not a witch.
