Accidents, by definition, are unpredictable, especially those that hurt like hell. Medical assistance, at emergency rooms late at night, can be of unpredictable quality. Bringing a friend along as an advocate is a fine idea -- especially when you've admired your advocate from afar, but she wants to take care of you. It helps to have someone to laugh with you when that's the only way to deal with the doctor. Eyepads, iPads, is there a big difference?
