A classic kind of sports story about leadership, resilience...and the special relationship between a pitcher and her catcher. Another of my one-off lesbian stories with a little something extra to say (:
Transgender teen Alexandra Plessy moves to Masons Peak to complete her senior year and escape her sex addicted uncle. She keeps her transgender identity secret and has to navigate the challenges of being 'the new kid'. She piques the interest of 'The Karens', three middleclass, self-centered, overly entitled bullies who are determined to put her in her place. She has to satisfy her uncle's sexual appetite whilst trying to have a stable relationship with her boyfriend.
Greg and Peter have a little secret: They like to peek at their stepsister Marcia when she's in the bathroom. One night their peeking leads to more -- a lot more, which, it turns out, Marcia is not all that upset about. In fact, she helps her stepbrothers get it on with another of the blonde Brady girls, Jan. (Celeste's score: 10, 9, 9: "Stranger things have happened on American
sitcoms.")
This story is designed to highlight the extreme conditions of physical, emotional and sexual abuse to which all Roman slaves were liable to be exposed, through the experiences of three boy gladiators. It was inspired largely by the TV series 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand' (and features a cameo from one of the characters) and the book 'Time Hunters: Gladiator Clash' by Adam Blade. Credit goes to ChatGPT for talking through my ideas with me and coming up with interesting settings for some scenes.
About to graduate high school, Connie is overlooked because of her unfashionable dress and ugly coke-bottle glasses. Then she's introduced to her second cousin, who sees "her" and they bond courtesy of the two aunts who put them together, and provide them with a safe space to canoodle. And then Connie is overwhelmed when she discovers Jim's attribute. You're a princess first, and then you become a queen. A compact little tale of young love.
