Much of this originally appeared on finestories.com. It has been through a number of rewrites with some new material as well as many changes to cover where the story now goes. It's post-apocalyptic but is about people not so much as the event. I hope you will like the characters as they engage in living in a new and different world.

A young man goes to prison after his best friend gets killed in a car accident. Returning home after doing his time, his family reject him. Forcing him to leave, to start a new life in another part of Britain. But still, be haunted by his past.
