This story is a bit different from Ted's usual oeuvre. This story is ACTION. And it's awfully well done.
Our protagonist (not Melissa!) is a very wealthy businessman - somehow we get the impression that he's not entirely on the up and up, because he seems to have underworld contacts and swing some weight with some rather unsavory characters. He also has 'round the clock bodyguards. Oh!
We find this out as, one day, a young damsel in distress named Melissa walks into his office and, more or less, proposes to sell herself to him in exchange for his protection. Her father's done something stupid, and she's afraid that she will be made to pay the price; rather more than she's prepared to give up.
What ends up happening is rather different from what the unsuspecting reader might expect at this point, and while the protagonist does take care of matters (see above) he does not take her up on her implicit offer - instead he ends up hiring her as a forensic accountant for his firm. What fun :-) What it actually is that he does, on a global scale, we never really find out. A lot is left in the shadows, and it adds a certain flavor to the story.
I won't spill any more of the beans, other than that Melissa's successful in her job, which leads to more trouble. Meanwhile the protagonist gets to enjoy several of the ladies around him, in the nicest way possible (and they enjoy him in turn). Let there be romance, let there be action, there's even a chase scene in aeroplanes ... and some people 'tying the knot' right at the end. But I won't tell you who!
Read it for yourself, you could do a lot worse :-)

Seeing a new Tedbiker story pop up on SOL always makes me happy. One can be assured of a good tale, well written and with an interesting plot.
Mr. Biker has been spreading his wings over the last couple of years. From his nautical yarns he moved to a couple of very enjoyable science fiction stories (please let us have the third one soon, Mr. B) and now we have a real action and adventure tale. It is a good one, too and is one of those stories that you want to end, so you know what has happened but don't want to end because it is so enjoyable.
I'm not going to give away any of the plot, or tell you if there are any deceptive twists and turns. You will have to read it to find out!
Well done Ted and thank you very much.

This is an excellent story. Lots of interesting romance. Some sex but not a stroke story. I have read gun porn, and a little food porn. Food porn is when the author attaches recipes to the story. Or broadens his characters by what they eat. This is the first motorcycle porn I can recall. No, there is no sex on a motorcycle but many different models are described lovingly, the way some other authors would discuss women the hero plans to enjoy. I suppose when the author has "biker" in his name there would be some kind of cycle involved. There is some violence but mostly the bad guys get hurt. Flying, sailing, classical music, accounting, and running a business are highlighted.
I gave this a nine for appeal to reviewer, and that is higher than most stories I review. I saw no technical quality issues so it gets a nine there as nobody is perfect. Its a good plot with at least one twist I didn't see. Hint, the initial focal point of the story is not what most of the story is about. I gave it a nine. That's high praise, six is average (call it a C), seven is better than average (B) and 8 is good (A). Nine is like A plus. I try to give no more than one ten a month, at least for appeal to reviewer. Give this story a try, I am pretty sure you will be glad you read it.
