In 1955, Jim Bustillos gets a scholarship to Yale University and immediately falls for Alice Dana, his roommate's sister. But they'll have to fit dating in between a very unusual on-campus job, a racist secretary who might be spying for J. Edgar Hoover, a disapproving father, and Yale's new program...the 'Naked Week.'
Remember playing pretend games with my friends when an ordinary thing like a hollow tree was a ship going out to war and, less dramatically, pretending that a pair of sunglasses had the magic power to see through clothes. My friends and I would put on those pretend magic glasses around my sister or one of her friends. Well, I am a lot older nowadays. Any of those pretend games like that are long past. None of that silly stuff could happen in the real world.
Alice is a recent College grad looking for her first job. Problem is no one is looking for a French Literature Major. Then her BFF Yoko takes her with her to the Nuclear Power Plant to apply for employment. They have a new project just starting and are looking for recent college graduates. Even if she doesn't get hired, she can try out her new bikini on the nearby beach and see how much attention she can get from the lifeguards and pretty girls.

Child actor Jack Mankewicz's career is in a rut. He's getting too old for the roles he's known for, and his last movie was a flop. To make things worse, he has to deal with abusive parents and being gay. All his problems might be solved however, when he gets cast in a TV movie about The Program.
