A story in the Haven Tails Universe
Archie McDermott’s war has taken him a long way from his father’s barbershop since Fireball Day, including a new family, but geographically, he hasn’t traveled very far, from Wheaton to Peoria, fighting the neofascist Justice Party faction in Illinois. His pursuit of vengeance is almost done, but he has a new purpose: rebuilding again in love, lust, trust, and faith in the new Havenite religion…and Schumacher Syndrome. He also has to deal with the ghosts of his tormented family past.

This is the story of John Edwards, a fighter pilot in WW1, his combat experiences, and his romance with Connie Butler, a Red Cross worker. Most of the story involves a little-known, but very important, battle against the German observation balloons. John's favorite method of attack came from my imagination, but it could have worked and made a difference in the war. Every infantryman in WW1 had nothing but praise for the guts of the balloon busters.

In an alternative Steampunk Canada, newlyweds Edward and Mary only want to fly by airship from southern Ontario to Victoria, British Columbia on their honeymoon. Trouble seems to stalk them at every attempt for a romantic voyage through the Northern Ontario sky and the simple goal of a honeymoon. Follow this adventure of Mary and Edward Banting with their trusty heroic servant/bodyguard Serena Wolfe.

WWII is finally winding down, D Day has passed and Patton’s 3rd Army is rolling across France and about to cross into Germany. A medium Sherman tank up armored at the factory is delivered to Fort Knox where a new crew takes possession of her. They name her “Iris’s Revenge” why that name? I guess you’ll have to read the story and find out!
