A retirement story with a twist. Harry discovers an old abandoned farm house and moves in. He didn't count on the place still being occupied.

Sheryl feeling unloved by her parents finds romance and a wonderful introduction to the joys of sex with him. He is her sole mate, and is devastated when he is killed in an industrial accident. With his death she turns to quantity rather than quality. She is used and abused until she finds the strength to break away from her downward spiral. She meets a man twice her age who is married to a girl her own age. In him she finds the sole of her departed lover.

What happens to this soldier after he enlists in the service.

Thrown out of her home by her mother, sixteen year-old, Kate is taken in by a fisherman as his daughter. Later she saves his life and changes her own.

What would you do if you were changed into a woman without your permission, or actively seeking such a change? How would you cope? Who would you tell? Is "Hi Mom, it's me," enough of an explanation? This is a fantasy, because the Institute doesn't exist in Champaign or anywhere else, but it was fun to write.
