Ma/Fa Stories

A story about a USMC sniper that gets captured in Pakistan. How he deals with his captors and his memories of home. Don't let the first chapter scare you off, it get's much better. This is the first story in a series that I'm writing. Some parts of all the stories are true, I'll leave you to figure out which parts.

Dan survived ten years of the war as a U.N. Special Forces officer and retired with his wife to Tampa to start a charter boat business. His wife was killed soon after and for the next five years his life has been nothing but work, war buddies and memories he wishes he could run away from. AJ just wanted a drink when he pushed past the sodbuster woman standing timidly outside of the saloon. But there was trouble inside that saloon and, like usual, he just couldn't manage to stay out of it. Within ten minutes he was running for his life and passing that same woman again, this time as he spurred his horse hard.
