First in the Victorian era there was "SteamPunk", which first began to merge technology with magic. Then came the Arcane Deco period of the 1930's, which changed the world, bringing the benefits of magic down to the common 'normal' people - but not always for the better. An alternate history of fantastic wonders, balkanized politics and horrific terrors. Currently a closed Universe, but interested writers may submit stories for approval and I may later 'open' it to all. Stories should involve alternate history and magic since 1890 to the modern era.
When they end up calling the very last private paranormal investigator in the phone book, you know the case is going to going to be trouble. The damsel in distress will be beautiful but not to be trusted, and most of the bad guys will laugh at silver bullets and want to drag you down to some nasty under-hell. Our industrious minor 'magician for hire' finds an opportunity to improve his checkered reputation, but sees everything go up into smoke instead. If he is to possibly save the world, must he let the woman he used to love die instead? If he fails the greatest Banishment spell of his life, all of the world might become banished instead! The second Arc Deco Universe story.
Arc Deco #3 - The worst part about being apparently a very minor magician is that no one takes you seriously, until it’s once again time to save the world! Maybe this time Zak won't have to do it all alone... and maybe even find love along the way.
Arc Deco #4 - It was supposed to be a nice restful train trip to Washington, but it seems that no one wants Zak or Miranda to arrive at all. Worse still, no one in Washington seems to want them there either! Still, our roaming Texas wizard might have an idea or two about how to stop yet another brand new war... if only everyone, even his own side, will stop trying to kill him!
