Although starting in 1946 the bulk of the story takes place in 1960s England. It has a military background and tells of the joy and vicissitudes of a privileged couple's romance in England and Libya. A box of tissues would be a handy aid to the reader. / (Reviews)
This is another romance plus a bit. It is set in the Liverpool area of England against a civil engineering background. To say more would spoil the plot. There is no descriptive sex.
King David coveted another man's wife. One never knew what Bathsheba felt and that's the first difference in this story. There is plenty of love but no sex.
A Hoddinot Story (2) This is the second story in the series. It tells of mature and conflicting loves and the deliverance of a girl from the after effects of sexual abuse. It is set in modern England but in the West Country where things are a little less modern than in London.
