fourteen-year-old Colorado ranching family boy, Cory Stanton, has come into season, in a family tradition that a boy in the family coming into season is first initiated by a family member. His mother sends him up into the mountains with his older half brother, Thad, to avoid Cory being taken by his father. But there are other Stanton men around, willing, and able, in this tale of incest in the old West.

This is a Victorian Cautionary Tale concerning two young people married to each other by order of their fathers, and for business reasons. Their wedding night, and subsequent events prove difficult for the uninformed youngsters, but they are helped by an older lady's maid.

Oh, to be rich and well placed in Victorian society. It was the best of times, unless you were a woman.

The slaves were encouraged to breed, children born into slavery were cheaper than buying them in. Most often, the couples were kept separately on different plantations so that, when they did come together, a child was almost inevitable. It is an ideal theatre for the werewolf to chose her next victim.
