A Halloween 2021 Contest Entry
A short Halloween story with a bit of paranormal stuff thrown in. Takes place in the American Southwest a few years back perhaps. A first story for me. I'd like to thank RLFJ for all his help in editing and in posting and background advice. It's a vastly better story with his input, any errors are mine of course, as I am a bit stubborn.
A young man is looking to make some money doing odd jobs around the neighborhood. He offers to cut the grass for the neighbors across the street. But more than the lawn gets taken care of that day!
