This story is a little bit offbeat for me. It's intended as an homage to a couple of excellent stories with similar themes published earlier by a couple of the best writers on SOL. Readers will recognize the genre as the story develops, but I don't intend to give it away at the outset. Warning to strokers: This story has some sexual content, but it is limited and slow to develop.
Heather Mercer was a junior high school teacher whose life was fine until her husband got in debt to a loan shark. The choices were slim. Allow his organs to be sold on the black market, or become a stripper on the weekends at the club the loan shark owned. Oh, yes. And then there was the sex she had to supply her new boss. Could she get out of it all? Who would save her?
A chance meeting between Josh and Megan leads a day later to pleading with her to become his ‘’temporary’ girlfriend and rescue him from becoming the butt of his family’s ire. Megan agrees. The family fully embraces her, and despite the ‘temporary’ label, they eventually wed and have their own sexual honeymoon with friends, involving her sister and others, living in a loving, polyamorous setting.
A story in the Postmodern Galateas Universe
Story #2 of Postmodern Galateas. When a college football jock finds his way into a party of a lifetime—Dolloween—he will find out that the girl who was so very much not his type, may actually be the one of his dreams. And that she might not be exactly what he first thought that she was. Add in a powerful party potion, and anything is possible. Just go with it. These are the stories that the DOLLS category was created for.
Rendec's Raiders were a free mercenary company, working for the Galaki Confederation. But there had been recent reverses... As a result, they lacked the funds that would allow them to dock at a decent station to obtain a little shore leave, so Captain Rendec decided to do something a little unusual -- set down on a backward planet and let the Raiders boil off a little of their excess on the local sluts. Where to go, where to go... The Rim Valley Horse Show circuit would never be the same... / (Reviews)
