A Middletown story
Callie Petersen is a hopeless romantic, devouring romance novels and watching every rom-com she could find. But a traumatic experience shook her to the core, forcing her to confront the painful truth: real-life love isn't like the movies. * This a revised version of the original I made some minor, but important changes *
This story is a little bit offbeat for me. It's intended as an homage to a couple of excellent stories with similar themes published earlier by a couple of the best writers on SOL. Readers will recognize the genre as the story develops, but I don't intend to give it away at the outset. Warning to strokers: This story has some sexual content, but it is limited and slow to develop.
A Dryad Story Many will tell you of the mystical quality of trees. Trees, individually and collectively, often have a magical ability to confer calm and refreshment. Return to the Woodland Folk as outsiders encounter them...
A teen boy is taken out to die during a storm, but things don't go as planned. He and his life are very dramatically changed. He sets himself up as modern patriarch with a harem of concubines. He also gets his revenge on his enemies. Some activities relate to his school, home, and work place. Some graphic sex scenes involving heterosexual and homosexual activities are present, and there are some religious discussions. Set in Australia. Revised to suit current Australian thought police laws.
It's the anniversary of his marriage and he's mourning the loss of his beloved. Falling into a fitful sleep, she comes to visit him and they still manage to have a wonderful anniversary!
