A story in the Kaire Universe
The Peacekeeper clan is not like the others. They hold a secret that is passed down through the ages. For them it is about maintaining the peace and balance between clans. Now that has extended to all races and includes enforcing laws. Two men are caught trying to assassinate the emperor's voice and the leader of the clans heir. A young peacekeeper saves them and is rewarded but now he must show his new mates the secret his clans keeps.

Using the family secret to bring back a dragon tooth is just the start. Next is years of work to carve out weapons and armor like no one has ever seen. That earns me a place as a soldier. Now I face enemy soldiers in skirmishes to a small battle.

A Swarm Cycle Story

I suppose this could be a stand alone story, but it is a sequel to The Times They Are A Changing and would be a lot more fun if you've read more stories in Thinking Horndog's Swarm Cycle. This is a direct continuation of "Regrowth" and "Expansion." Please read those stories first or this one won't make sense. Here, Billy and Jenny continue the battles against the bad guys, this time in Los Angeles. They go after drugs and human trafficking, with an interesting side issue no one expected.
