A Rivers Region Story
A young man has a major change of lifestyle forced on him. He becomes a writer, and then something else again. First we read two of his stories about himself, then we follow him as he makes another change to his life and changes the lives of many others in the Rivers Region. In the process he unexpectedly meets his own destiny as well. Set in Australia.

'Saving Amanda' is about a young woman running away from events in her life, of which she's unable to cope with. In her confused state of mind, she makes a series of erratic decisions which almost gets her killed. At the last possible moment of her life, she is rescued by a reclusive, retired military medic. He too had run away - from society - back home to the mountain where he was raised.

A story set in the Pinwheel Universe
The largest Coalition fleet ever assembled descends on the lost colony of Kerguela to liberate it from its insectoid occupiers. On one side of the moon, a Marine takes part in a series of daring landings, while on the other, one of the few survivors of the original invasion hunts down the source of a mysterious signal.
