A Good Medicine Story Part of the A Well-Lived Life universe
After concluding the last book, quite literally, with a bang, Mike's first year of Residency continues. Much of the remaining year is spent dealing with legal issues, trying to defend himself and colleagues from a surgical encounter that resulted in a poor outcome for the patient. Partway through his second year of Residency, Mike is presented with an offer that seems too good to refuse, but also conflicts with both his existing Residency program and challenges his personal ethics.
This story is a tribute to Volentrin following his sad death earlier this year. His description of what he planned for the story was: A young boy leaves Scotland for America and grows up there. He dreams of flying and sees fairies and other things his mother objects too. See how he deals with this and other things as he grows up in America! - I've tried to interpret that vision. See what you think.
Steve and Gwen meet at the beginning of their senior year. He has no family and she has a large one. They are drawn to each other and become the stuff of legends. If you can suspend your disbelief and enjoy reading about heroes, Navy SEALs, football, surgeons, pirates, actors, and even honest politicians, you may enjoy this story. I hope to post a chapter every week, give or take. This should be a long and amazing story, filled with drama and some melodrama. Read on. / (Reviews)
