A Story in the The Protector Universe
Jonas Gianni, the former mob hit man has a couple more missions he must accomplish for Joe. The missions are dangerous but so is letting the boss of the Kansas City Family know that you have to walk away. No one walks away from the Family. It seems like Joe always has a plan.
The topic is "The End of the Affair." My problem is that everybody from Ovid to Henry Miller has had something to say about that - not to mention a few million folks on this site. So, I took a slightly different interpretation of "the end" here. My hero makes a bad choice. But he has decent instincts and with a little help from an unlikely source he eventually learns how to be a good person. Some of you might find this a bit allegorical. If so, I couldn't possibly comment. / (Reviews)
A Dulcie Story He's a burn-out, and goes to live in a boat. Will he follow the wild geese, or will he find the peace he lost? Dulcie is a secondary character in this one, but an important one. / (Reviews)
A story set in the Pinwheel Universe
Splashdown Remastered: Stranded in an alien jungle during a botched mission, a plucky shuttle pilot and a fierce alien warrior must learn to overcome their differences if they want to survive their ordeal. (This story has been re-edited and improved to bring it up to my current standards.) Housecat: Zhari and McGregor take some much deserved shore leave, and the wily pilot takes full advantage of his dominant position over the alien to explore the limits of her submissive nature.
A story in the The Farmer's Daughter Universe
Kevin Butcher, a former U. S. Marine, is trying to finish college while working as a contractor. He takes a job several counties distant and rents a room from a local Mennonite farmer. Of course, the farmer has an attractive daughter. But the son of a local gangster wants the farmer's daughter and will do anything to have her. Note: Some of the characters are religious, but this is not a story about religion. There is some violence and a threat of rape. This is not a stroke story! / (Reviews)
