Mike's wife, Lucy, had suggested a vacation to Japan. Mike hadn't been very enthusiastic. He enjoyed vacationing in places like Hamburg, Las Vegas and New York, Bangkok, where there was a nice, active night scene. As far as he knew, there wasn't much going on in the nightlife scene without imagining that Japanese nightclubs might interest him. He didn't yet know how many very hot places Japan has.
