Tom & Tim are 12. Becoming inseparable, they do everything together, until they enter college. Tim's sister Breanne is 3 years younger. When the boys are seniors, she's a freshman. They protect her from the boys, like 2 big brothers. Tom acts indifferent, but deep down, he cares for Breanne. Tom goes to college, Tim joins the Army, but they remain close. Breanne marries but loses her mate overseas. Tim, concerned for Breanne, asks Tom to check on her at Valentines, while he's deployed.
It was their anniversary and they had to work. The dirtiest job in the place. Cleaning the Pit, a trash and slug dump in the deepest tunnels.
