A Swarm Cycle Story
This story progresses over an extended period, from the time "The Good Ship Lollipop" arrives to found the experimental Harrad Colony on Pern through the development and first deployment of a new weapon some fifteen years later. I think you'll enjoy this story more if you have read others in my series. A Life in Paradise Story This story follows the coaching career of Kyle Martin and lives of his wife Penny and their four children, David, Jessie, Danny and Robbie. The story is set in 2031, eighteen years after the end of my previous story featuring Kyle, Lost and Found. It is not necessary to have read Lost and Found before you read this, though incidents and characters from that story will appear frequently in this one.
Although it was not as highly rated as others, this is my personal favorite of all of my stories. I tried to keep it as close to the Hemingway novel as possible. But the lost generation is 90 years old. So I had to come up with a more modern way to separate my hero from his balls. Nevertheless, the rest of the story still leverages the original's plot and characters. I've never run with the bulls. So I moved this to a situation that I have experienced myself. I think Papa would approve.
